I just want to remind everyone that homosexuality and any non-straight sexuality is not an adult theme or ‘pornographic’ in any way. 

Two girls holding hands or two boys having a crush is not an adult theme. It is as innocent as a crush between a boy and a girl and should be presented as such

If it is acceptable and viewed as adorable for a 15 year old boy to have a crush on a 15 year old girl then it is equally as acceptable and cute for a boy to crush on a boy. Just because it is the same gender does not make it ‘adult’ or ‘unfit for kids to see’

Please stop sexualizing same sex relationships and remember that it is innocent and gentle affection just like any relationship.

All of this. Conversely, and in addition: please stop idealizing same-sex relationships, or claiming that same-sex relationships are somehow more “pure” than other relationships. They can be toxic, or abusive, or ill-advised, just like any other relationship. Pretending that they’re somehow inherently perfect causes a same-sex abuse to get minimized, and the survivors thereof feel silenced by their own community. I know folks who say they ignored warning signs because of the way their friends were always cooing over how cute they were with their partner. We’re real people, not paragons of some sacred love: we’re fallible, and human, and imperfect. Give us the same space you afford to straight relationships: the acknowledgement of reality, the possibility of imperfection.

It really is pretty dramatic how almost every article about how trans people are placing unreasonable demands on society focuses primarily on transfeminine people and almost every article about how trans people are poor delusional victims of the medical-industrial complex focuses primarily on transmasculine people.

This point felt less obvious back when there wasn’t a book called The Transgender Craze Seducing Our Daughters.

it’s literally just sexism rebranded as “feminist critique”, they view trans men as confused and helpless women and they view trans women as aggressive and demanding men. it’s condescending and reinforces harmful gender stereotypes while liberating absolutely no one.
